# FINAL REPORT

## DATA MIGRATION REPORT
- **Cleaning Supervisor Assignments**: We found 2 existing assignment records. Both were unique logically across Supervisor, Branch, and Dates. No logical duplicates existed, meaning no data was destroyed. The `cleaning_service_type_id` and `business_unit_id` columns were cleanly dropped.
- **Daily Controls**: We identified 3 total Daily Controls. Two controls existed for the same branch (`Morogoro`), date (`2026-10-06`), and shift (`Day`). One of them contained SGR operations and Worker Attendances, while the other was empty except for Worker Attendances. The duplicate empty control (ID 1) was safely removed along with its attendances, retaining the primary control (ID 2). We then applied a unique index on `(branch_id, date, shift)`.

## FILES CHANGED
1. **`modify_cleaning_supervisor_assignments_table.php` (Migration):** Dropped `business_unit_id` and `cleaning_service_type_id` from `cleaning_supervisor_assignments`.
2. **`modify_daily_controls_uniqueness.php` (Migration):** Added a unique constraint on `(branch_id, date, shift)` for `daily_controls`.
3. **`CleaningSupervisorAssignment.php`:** Removed `cleaning_service_type_id` and `business_unit_id` from `$fillable`. Removed their corresponding relationships.
4. **`CleaningSupervisorAssignmentController.php`:** Removed `cleaning_service_type_id` validation and assignment overlapping checks related to service types.
5. **`CleaningDailyControlController.php`:**
    - Updated `index()` to fetch all active Service Types for the BU instead of only ones assigned to the supervisor.
    - Updated `store()` to redirect to existing Daily Control using `branch_id`, `date`, `shift` logic.
    - Updated `resolveActiveBranch()` to check `CleaningSupervisorAssignment` instead of `hasAccessToScope(Branch)`.
    - Updated `storeActivity()` to verify Branch authorization via Assignment rather than Service Type.
    - Updated Dashboard query logic to view all Daily Controls that a supervisor has Branch assignments for.
6. **`CleaningServiceType.php`:** Removed the unused `assignments` relationship.
7. **`DailyControlPolicy.php`:** Updated the `update` policy to authorize any supervisor with an active `CleaningSupervisorAssignment` for the given Branch.
8. **`CleaningCoordinatorController.php` & `supervisors.blade.php`:** Removed the `cleaning_service_type_id` assignment selection logic and UI fields.

## AUTHORIZATION MODEL
The authorization model is now strictly **Branch Authority**.
A supervisor is assigned to a Branch for a specific date range.
When accessing operations for that Branch, the application checks if the user has an active `CleaningSupervisorAssignment` for the `Branch`.
This covers `DailyControl` creation and management, Work Activities, SGR Operations, Fumigation, and Materials.

## DAILY CONTROL MODEL
The new uniqueness rule for `DailyControl` is exactly: **Branch + Date + Shift**.
It is impossible to create a duplicate Daily Control for the same branch and shift.
`supervisor_id` on the `DailyControl` now represents the **Lead/Initiating Supervisor**—the supervisor who first created the shift. However, any other supervisor with an active assignment to that Branch can access and operate the exact same Daily Control.

## SERVICE TYPE MODEL
Service Types are completely removed from Supervisor Authority. They remain highly relevant for **Activity Classification**.
Inside a Daily Control, when creating a Work Activity (e.g. from the TPS tab), the system requires selecting a `CleaningServiceTemplate`, which is grouped under a `CleaningServiceType`. The supervisor's authority to perform this is derived from the Branch, but the activity is correctly classified by its Service Type.

## SECURITY RESULTS
- **Cross-Branch Check (Test C & F):** An active assignment for Dodoma correctly rejects attempts to create or mutate operations for Morogoro.
- **Expired Assignment Check (Test D):** Expired assignments properly reject access to Branch operations.
- **Unified Shift (Test B & G):** Parallel supervisors attempting to create a control for the same shift correctly resolve to the *same* single Daily Control without duplication.

All tests passed successfully.

## REMAINING DEBT
- **Inventory/Materials:** Remains unchanged and tied to the Daily Control.
- **Cleaning Dashboard:** Minimal updates to fetch Daily Controls by active branch assignment rather than explicit ownership. Full UI/UX redesign of the dashboard was intentionally left out as per instructions.
- **Station Entity:** Not created. `Branch` remains the functional equivalent for Cleaning BU.
- **Catering / Facility Types:** Fully untouched to preserve POS/Catering workflows.
