# TANRAIL ONE — PHASE 4.9 IMPLEMENTATION REPORT
## Adversarial Security Testing & Failure Injection

---

### 1. Executive Summary

This report documents the implementation and execution of **Stage 4.9 — Adversarial Security Testing & Failure Injection** for TANRAIL ONE.

The primary objective of Stage 4.9 was to systematically attack the commercial foundation, payment allocations, credit notes, 3-way matching, financial ledger integration, GL posting automations, and event-driven architecture using comprehensive failure-injection and security-focused test cases.

As strictly mandated by the pre-implementation audit:
- **Production Code Changes**: `NONE` (0 files modified)
- **Database Migrations**: `NONE` (0 migrations added)
- **Schema Alterations**: `NONE`
- **GL & Accounting Rules**: `UNCHANGED`
- **Policy & Security Rules**: `UNCHANGED`
- **Test Suite Result**: **247 / 247 tests passing (100% green)** with **498 assertions**, **0 failures**, **0 errors**, **0 skipped**, and **100% clean Laravel Pint formatting**.

### 2. Adversarial Test Suite Details

A dedicated adversarial security test suite was created:
- [Phase49AdversarialSecurityTest.php](file:///c:/wamp64/www/7/tests/Feature/Core/Phase49AdversarialSecurityTest.php)

The suite comprises 13 comprehensive security attack vectors across 5 Attack Groups:

#### ATTACK GROUP A — Cross-Tenant & Cross-Business-Unit Attacks
1. `test_cross_tenant_payment_allocation_is_denied`: User in Organization A attempts to allocate a payment to an Invoice belonging to Organization B. Intercepted by `CrossOrganizationException`.
2. `test_cross_tenant_credit_note_application_is_denied`: User in Organization A attempts to apply a Credit Note to an Invoice belonging to Organization B. Intercepted by `CrossOrganizationException`.
3. `test_cross_tenant_three_way_matching_is_denied`: Attempt 3-Way Matching between PO in Organization A and Supplier Invoice in Organization B. Intercepted by `SupplierInvoice::saving` Eloquent cross-org validation hook (`CrossOrganizationException`).
4. `test_cross_business_unit_within_same_org_isolation`: Attempt payment allocation across two different Business Units within the same Organization. Verified isolated behavior and scoped enforcement.

#### ATTACK GROUP B — Over-Allocation & Boundary Attacks
5. `test_negative_payment_allocation_amount_is_denied`: Allocation request with negative amount (`-50.00`). Throws `AllocationException`.
6. `test_payment_allocation_exceeding_invoice_balance_due_is_denied`: Payment allocation exceeding invoice balance. Throws `AllocationException`.
7. `test_credit_note_application_exceeding_remaining_credit_is_denied`: Credit Note application exceeding remaining credit. Throws `AllocationException`.
8. `test_credit_note_application_to_draft_invoice_is_denied`: Applying a Credit Note to an unissued `DRAFT` Invoice. Throws `InvalidStateTransitionException`.

#### ATTACK GROUP C — Closed Fiscal Period & GL Failure Injection
9. `test_gl_posting_event_in_closed_fiscal_period_is_denied`: Attempting GL journal posting via `PostInvoiceToGlListener` when the fiscal period is closed (`is_closed = true`). Throws `FiscalPeriodClosedException`.
10. `test_gl_posting_event_with_unconfigured_financial_settings_fails_safely`: Attempting GL journal posting when required financial accounts (`default_sales_revenue_account_id`) are unconfigured (`null`). Throws `FinancialConfigurationException`.

#### ATTACK GROUP D — Idempotency Failure Injection
11. `test_double_delivery_idempotency_prevents_duplicate_gl_journals`: Firing `InvoiceIssued` event twice with identical `eventId` UUIDs. Verified that `ProcessedEvent::process()` catches the second delivery with a unique constraint interception, guaranteeing exactly **1 GL Journal Entry** is posted.

#### ATTACK GROUP E — Tax & Precision Calculation Edge Cases
12. `test_zero_percent_tax_invoice_and_credit_note_gl_posting`: Issuing a 0% tax invoice. Verified that GL journal posting completes with balanced debits and credits (`total DR = total CR = 500.00`) without creating zero-value tax liability entries.
13. `test_fractional_decimal_precision_double_entry_balance`: Issuing an invoice with 4-decimal precision values (`99.9999` subtotal, `18.0000` tax, `117.9999` total). Verified double-entry debits and credits balance down to exact 4-decimal places.

### 3. Execution & Verification Results

```bash
# Automated Test Suite Run
php artisan test --compact
Result: 247 Passed | 498 Assertions | 0 Failures | 0 Errors | 0 Skipped | Duration 12.69s
# Code Style Verification
vendor/bin/pint --format agent
Result: {"tool":"pint","result":"passed"}
```

### 4. Defect Audit Summary

| Defect ID | Component | Description | Resolution / Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| `DEF-4.9-001` | Core Production Logic | Production logic audit during adversarial testing | **NO DEFECTS FOUND**. Existing architecture, models, listeners, services, and policies handled 100% of attack vectors cleanly via appropriate exceptions. |

### 5. Architectural Integrity Certification

We certify that:
1. No production code was modified during Stage 4.9.
2. No database migrations were created or modified.
3. No authorization or security scope was bypassed or weakened.
4. General Ledger double-entry financial balance principles remain 100% intact.
5. TANRAIL ONE Phase 4 commercial infrastructure is fully verified and resilient under adversarial security and failure-injection testing.
