# TANRAIL ONE — PHASE 5.2 IMPLEMENTATION REPORT
## PRODUCTION ORDER & INVENTORY ASSEMBLY ENGINE

**Date:** September 4, 2026
**Status:** COMPLETE & FULLY VERIFIED
**Architecture:** Multi-Tenant Domain-Driven Design (Phase 5 Module Architecture)

---

### EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Phase 5.2 has successfully delivered the **Production Order & Inventory Assembly Engine** for TANRAIL ONE. Operating cleanly on top of the Bill of Materials (BOM) foundation created in Phase 5.1 and leveraging the existing core `InventoryService`, this engine enables multi-tenant manufacturing, assembly, and production tracking across commercial operations (restaurants, catering, water bottling, transport assembly).

All 271 unit and feature tests across the TANRAIL ONE codebase are passing with 548 assertions, 0 failures, 0 errors, 0 skipped, and code formatted to clean Laravel Pint standards.

### PRE-IMPLEMENTATION FINDINGS & REUSE ANALYSIS

1. **Inventory Architecture Reuse:**
   - Evaluated `InventoryService::issue(...)` and `InventoryService::receive(...)`.
   - Identified that `InventoryService` already provides robust pessimistic row-level locking (`lockForUpdate()`), stock validation, atomic stock balance updates, and `StockMovement` auditing.
   - **Decision:** Reused `InventoryService` directly without mutating core domain files under `app/Domains/Core/`.

2. **Schema & Models:**
   - Created `production_orders` table storing header metadata (`organization_id`, `business_unit_id`, `branch_id`, `bill_of_materials_id`, `finished_item_id`, `production_number`, `status`, `target_quantity`, `actual_quantity`, `source_location_id`, `destination_location_id`).
   - Created `production_order_items` table storing component snapshots created upon order confirmation.

3. **Tenant & BU Isolation:**
   - Applied `OrganizationScope` and `BusinessUnitScope` to `ProductionOrder` and `ProductionOrderItem`.
   - Enforced cross-organization and cross-business-unit isolation across BOM selection, raw material location selection, and finished goods location selection.

### IMPLEMENTED COMPONENTS

#### 1. Models & Database Schema
- `database/migrations/2026_09_05_000002_create_production_orders_tables.php`
- `app/Domains/Modules/Production/Enums/ProductionOrderStatus.php`
- `app/Domains/Modules/Production/Models/ProductionOrder.php`
- `app/Domains/Modules/Production/Models/ProductionOrderItem.php`

#### 2. Core Service Engine
- `app/Domains/Modules/Production/Services/ProductionService.php`:
  - `createProductionOrder(...)`: Initializes a production order in `DRAFT` status after validating tenant scope and item ownership.
  - `confirmProductionOrder(...)`: Snapshots required BOM ingredients scaled by `target_quantity` into `production_order_items` and transitions status to `CONFIRMED`.
  - `startProduction(...)`: Transitions status from `CONFIRMED` to `IN_PROGRESS`.
  - `completeProduction(...)`: Executes atomic inventory deduction of raw materials via `InventoryService::issue` and finished goods receipt via `InventoryService::receive` inside a database transaction with pessimistic locking. Transitions status to `COMPLETED`.
  - `cancelProductionOrder(...)`: Cancels uncompleted production orders, transitioning status to `CANCELLED`.

#### 3. Security & Policy Authorization
- `app/Domains/Modules/Production/Policies/ProductionOrderPolicy.php`
- Registered policy mapping in `app/Providers/AppServiceProvider.php`.
- Immutable lifecycle guards: Prevents mutation or deletion of `COMPLETED` production orders.

---

### VERIFICATION & TESTING

#### Feature Test Suite: `tests/Feature/Modules/Phase52ProductionOrderTest.php`
- Covered 14 dedicated scenario tests:
  1. Creation of production order from active BOM.
  2. Rejection of inactive BOM.
  3. Rejection of invalid (<= 0) production quantity.
  4. Immutable BOM snapshot generation upon confirmation.
  5. BOM snapshot preservation following subsequent live BOM modifications.
  6. Rejection of invalid state transitions (e.g. `COMPLETED` -> `CANCELLED`).
  7. Rejection of production execution when raw material stock is insufficient.
  8. Successful raw material deduction and finished goods receipt with stock movement references.
  9. Duplicate completion execution prevention.
  10. Cross-organization BOM and inventory location rejection.
  11. Completed production order mutation denial.
  12. Completed production order deletion denial.
  13. Successful cancellation of uncompleted orders.
  14. Policy authorization verification (accessible user, cross-BU user, roleless user).
